17. CCW MA graduation exhibition
30/11/2023

In this exhibition, I saw many works with their own different highlights. There are giant ceramic eggs with superb craftsmanship, works with great themes, and highly practical types for viewing. Haoran Bie's work studies the connection between ceramics and glass, which impressed me very much. Haoran told me that he first made three types and sizes of ceramics through molds, and then heated the glass tube and blew it inward, so that the glass was supported inside the ceramics. to enable its connection. I really like this series of works, practical and beautiful, but also experimental. Zhicheng Zhang’s work incorporates unexpected ceramic materials into the audio system, which I find very interesting. It may not be a good idea from a functional perspective, but from an ornamental perspective, it is a big step forward. Perhaps later on, different ceramic techniques will be used on this basis to make it more diverse. I particularly like his rock climbing mugs. He incorporates his own hobbies into the works, which are highly ornamental and interesting. I also like the natural patterned mesh lights. Tianhao Jia's works give me a natural and flowing feeling, and I like this feeling very much. Through this exhibition I discovered that I like practical things, preferably with some meaning or a sense of nature added to them.
