Emotion Breaker stool (2024)

The broken boards often result from skaters either celebrating the joy of landing a great trick or expressing frustration after failing a trick they’ve been working on for a long time. This is a form of emotional release, with the act of breaking a board embodying a raw and powerful expression of feeling. To capture this, Yusen incorporated the imagery of a broken deck into the bottom of the stool, allowing people to see and experience this emotion in a direct and tangible way.
